NeoPets Guides – Training (Basic)

Do you dream of being a famous battledomer, or maybe you’d just like a NeoPet that you can battle your friends with? Either way, you’ll need to train it. There are a few basic ways to do it.

Want a more advanced training guide? .

Mystery Island Training School:

Click the Techo Master to visit the training school.

One effective way to get good training is at the Island School, aka the Mystery Island Training School. The Techo Master can teach your NeoPet many things including Strength, Defence, Agility, Endurance, and Level. The way you pay is with codestones

Codestones range from 3,000 NP and go up to about 5,000 NP. to search the Shop Wizard for them.

Courses, Level Requirement, Cost, and Time:

Course Type Neopet Level Cost Length
Grasshopper 20 and Under 1 codestone 2 hours
Basic 21-40 2 codestones 3 hours
Intermediate 41-80 3 codestones 4 hours
Adept 81-100 4 codestones 6 hours
Advanced 101-120 5 codestones 8 hours
Expert 121-150 6 codestones 12 hours
Master 151-200 7 codestones 18 hours
Grand Master 201-250 8 codestones 24 hours

Cap’n Threelegs’ Swashbuckling Academy:

Another way besides the training school is the Swashbuckling Academy. You can also get free training when it’s your NeoPet’s special day! The Captian accepts dubloons as payment. Like the training school the academy can train your NeoPet in Strength, Defence, Agility, Endurance, and Level

Dubloons are slightly less expensive than codestones. to search the Shop Wizard for them.

The Lab Ray:

Another way to train is the Lab Ray, which is by far the most expensive. A full lab map could cost as much as 500,000 NeoPoints, maybe more, and maybe less, depending on the current market. It can alter your NeoPet’s level, color, gender, strength, defense, agility, and more! You never know what will happen though. Sometimes you can gain three points, and other days it can reset your stats back to one. This isn’t suggested for higher stat pets.

It’s one of the more effective ways, but for the average person it’s a bit too expensive. You can get to the lab my clicking here.

You think you got it now? Good luck training your NeoPet! Once you’ve finished this guide, you may want to check out our advanced training guide.

Secret Ninja Training School:

This probably doesn’t belong in a basic training guide, but the Secret Ninja Training school is for those with NeoPets who are level 250 and above. Similar to the other training schools you use codestones, but you use Red Codestones (Cui Codestone, Kew Codestone, Mag Codestone, Sho Codestone, Vux Codestone, Zed Codestone). To visit the Secret Ninja Training School .

We have a ‘Revealed’ guide for the Secret Ninja Training School. to view it.
